About the Author
Andrew Shtulman is an associate professor of psychology and cognitive science at Occidental, where he directs the Thinking Lab. He holds degrees in psychology from Princeton and Harvard and has published several dozen scholarly articles on conceptual development and conceptual change. His work has been featured in Scientific American, CBS News, and the New Yorker. He lives in Pasadena, California.

I will recommend this text to my friends who want to understand ...

I picked up this book because I am familiar with the author's work and have always been impressed by the clarity of his writing. Although just a chapter into this book, I am really enjoying it. Shtulman's writing style continues to impress, with well-supported research explained as well as demonstrated with engaging anecdotes. As a developmental psychologist, I'm hoping to include this text in a course as a supplement for my undergraduate students. As a parent, I will recommend this text to my friends who want to understand their children's thinking (or even the roots of their own).

Great read, very topical!

Very insightful book, though a little scary for those who don't see themselves in the title. If you're thinking that this book will give you some tips on how to open the eyes of your loved ones who deny the science behind any number of current events topics... it does, but it also makes it clear how hard of a climb you have ahead!

This is a fantastic read. In this age of science deniers and anti-vaccination hysteria, Dr. Shtulman has written this beautiful book which will allow everyone a better understanding of science. I highly recommend this to everyone.
