ABBAS ALI MIRZA is a Partner in Deloitte & Touche, Dubai, UAE, and a member of the firm's regional Assurance and Advisory Committee. He is Chairman of the Auditors Group of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was the Chairman of the Intra Governmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards on Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) at the United Nations.
GRAHAM J. HOLT is an Examiner with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and Executive Head of the Division of Accounting and Finance, Manchester Metropolitan University Business School in the UK. He is an IFRS® author and contributor to both academic publications and professional journals.
LIESEL KNORR is President of the German Accounting Standards Board and former technical director with the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) responsible for preparing the core set of standards endorsed by the International Organization of Securities and Exchange Commission. She is the author of many technical papers.

The best book on IFRS

I purchased the two editions of this book. The first edition was acquired at the time of taking examination of certificate course on IFRS conducted by The Charterd Accountants of India almost 5 years ago. I got through the examination successfully in first attempt with good score.This book has all required content on IFRS for the practicing public accountants and also those who are in the industry. The professional accountants should keep this book always in their libraries for ready reference. I am also a practicing Chartered Accountant in the city of Hyderabad,India and I recommend this Bible to all those professional accountants and others in industry as ready reference,
The latest edition has been acquired to keep my knowledge on IFRS up to date.

Good companion for students

I'm an ACCA student attempting one of the Financial reporting papers and this IFRS Guide book is a really good companion to the study texts. It hightlights the basic principles underlying each standard, written in easy to understand english and the many cases and MCQs really help in understanding how/when to apply the standards. Not sure it may be good help to professionals who may need more indepth examples for complicated application issues but I will definitely recommend to every student sitting exams which requires knowledge of IASs/IFRSs. It really nails the basics and because not it isn't as lengthly as other material on IASs/IFRSs it will be good for revision.
