A collection of techniques for destroying a variety of hazardous chemicals

As if you couldn't guess this is a textbook; it has the standard structure of a textbook everything is laid out in logical order. The introduction and the further reading references is almost worth the price of the book itself. There are some unique indices in the back of the book which I found myself actually slowing down and reading like a novel.
I was especially interested in the pharmaceutical names and cross-referenced index as I worked in the pharmaceutical industry at one time. I didn't actually work in the laboratory but I did work with hazmat and environmental control. I worked in aerospace industry where we set up a lot of chem-milling and high pressured rooms that contained Dow chemical's and fire tube furnaces that used corrosive materials. I also had NBC hazmat courses in the military.
I found this book to be more specific on not only the chemicals that it describes the actual destruction procedures and principles of decontamination. I am embarrassed to say that I only recognize a fraction of the chemicals but am amazed at how detailed this book is.
Yes it's targeted towards a specific group as you can tell from the title however I can see it also is being very useful to parallel disciplines and I am glad that I had the opportunity to peruse this book.
One last observation is most books expect you to have an extensive background to build on. This book is no different but it does take the time to slow down to help you gain enough background to make what you learn here practical.
