About the Author
Dr Marc Sanso, Industrial Engineer, holds a PhD (Cum Laude), an MBA from ESADE and a Masters in Marketing. With more than 10 years of international experience, his career has been focused on management consulting and cluster development. Since 2005 he has served as a senior consultant in the Catalan Agency for Business Competitiveness (Barcelona), where he has played a key role in the coordination of SME competitiveness programs, particularly those concerning the digital ecosystem. Dr Sanso is the Director of different Masters Programs and Professor of the Executive MBA at the EAE Business School, Professor at the UAB Graduate School, and frequent lecturer. This book is an outstanding instrument for strategy, both considering definition and implementation. The author’s new approach to value creation and its implications for organizations rings true. Practical examples from several sectors (Fashion, Surf, Consumer electronics...) provide a hands-on vision of how to build competitiveness in a changing scenario.

An excellent book to understand value-based management and competitive strategy

Reading this book was very pleasant and attractive thanks to the many examples and business cases it contains. I have been using it as a reference book in my masters degree in digital business and it allowed me to learn the basics of business management through the concepts it presents. "The Value Trail" does not only presents an excellent customer-oriented perspective on value creation within companies, but also helps us understand different approaches on how we can differentiate in an increasingly competitive market. I strongly recommend it!
